The Inspection Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of quality assurance of inspections including the quality of work performed by the firm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy/Governance
Strategy and Mandate
Reviews, understands and remains aligned with Directorate for Inspection strategy
Policy and Procedures
Reviews, understands and complies with Directorate for Inspection policies and procedures
Annual Plan (Development / Monitoring)
Provides input into unit level Quality Assurance annual plan
Supports delivery of the Quality Assurance plan in accordance with agreed Inspection plan, timetable, resources, and budgets
Operational
Execution
Supports execution of Inspection Quality Assurance unit assignments in annual plan and related Inspection Quality Assurance activity
Supports and completes staff actions assigned to the Inspection Quality Assurance as directed by the Unit Head for Inspection Quality Assurance
Prepares papers and other staff products for Inspection Quality Assurance matters
Represents Inspection Quality Assurance in meetings and working groups as required
Assists the Unit Head for Inspection Quality Assurance in any other matters as required
Reporting
Supports the drafting of reports from Inspection Quality Assurance activities
Conducts initial review of draft reports against working papers
Submits draft reports for review by Unit Head for Inspection Quality Assurance
QA
Supports Unit Head for Inspection Quality Assurance with live quality review as required
Supports Unit Head for Inspection Quality Assurance to address results of QA
Stakeholder Management
Supports stakeholder engagement for delivery of Inspection Quality Assurance plan as directed by the unit head
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in administrative science, training, business administration, human resources or similar
Professional Certification: Inspection related accreditations preferred
Master’s Degree preferred
Experience
5+ years' relevant work experience
Skills
Technical/practical skills
Advanced knowledge and technical experience in inspection
Advanced knowledge in inspection governance, systems and controls including assessment of potential changes and their impact on operations
Advanced knowledge in risk assessment and analysis
Basic knowledge and technical experience in setting strategy, professional standards and ways of working for inspection functions
Basic knowledge and technical experience in readiness assessment and review
Basic knowledge in Fire Safety and Risk Management (Safety)
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Organization related expertise
Basic knowledge of control environment across inspections and different internal and external factors that affect its performance
Basic knowledge of latest profession trends, inspection and risk management techniques and practices
Basic knowledge in maintaining integrity, trust, and objectivity during the inspection process and limiting impairments to independence or objectivity
Communication/language
Strong proficiency in communicating complex issues in spoken and written usage of Arabic language required
Proficiency in English preferred
