Job Purpose
Ensure effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement for seamless project execution, addressing concerns, managing permits, and aligning project objectives with stakeholder expectations.
Position Accountability Description
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
1. Engage proactively with users, local communities, and authorities to align project goals, address concerns, and gather feedback, ensuring robust community and stakeholder support.
2. Coordinate with relevant entities to secure necessary permits, manage deliveries, and handle issue escalation, overseeing all official communications and project milestones with stakeholders.
3. Lead efforts to engage airport users, local communities, and relevant authorities by addressing concerns, soliciting feedback, and aligning project objectives with stakeholder expectations.
4. Identify and clearly define all internal and external stakeholders for each project, ensuring thorough communication and involvement throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Prepare and manage official communications with key external stakeholders, maintaining clear, professional correspondence and managing project milestones through effective coordination and engagement.
6. Identify and escalate issues to external stakeholders such as Matarat, GACA, or other relevant authorities, ensuring timely resolution of critical concerns.
7. Disseminate and interpret the organization’s rules, regulations, decisions, and instructions to all contractors and consultants working on the sector’s projects, ensuring consistent understanding and compliance.
Project Planning and Execution
8. Break down the project scope into manageable work packages and tasks, ensuring clarity and feasibility for the project team, and enabling a structured approach to project execution.
9. Create a detailed project schedule that outlines the sequence of tasks, key milestones, and dependencies, facilitating effective project planning and execution while maintaining a clear timeline.
10. Allocate personnel, equipment, and materials to tasks based on the project schedule and resource availability, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and efficient task completion.
11. Monitor project progress against initial plans and milestones, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions to keep the project on track.
12. Facilitate project kick-off meetings with all involved parties to ensure clear understanding of project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
Cost Estimation and Risk Management
13. Estimate project costs based on detailed assessments of resource requirements, material costs, and other expenses, providing a comprehensive financial overview for budgeting and financial planning purposes.
14. Identify potential project risks and uncertainties that could impact the project schedule and costs, enabling proactive risk management strategies to mitigate these risks.
15. Develop a comprehensive project charter that outlines the project's objectives, scope, key stakeholders, and deliverables, serving as a foundational document for project initiation and guiding subsequent project activities.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree: Engineering or equivalent.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in project management, preferably in the aviation or infrastructure sector, with a strong emphasis on project initiation, planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Preferred requirement: Project Management Professional (PMP)
