Position: Government Relations Officer.
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Government Relations Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with government entities, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and facilitating smooth interactions between the organization and government authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Government Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the company and government agencies, ensuring effective communication and coordination on all matters related to government requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements, including labor, immigration, and business regulations.
- Document and Application Management: Prepare and submit necessary government documents and applications such as work visas, permits, and licenses. Track the status of applications and renewals to ensure timely processing.
- Legal and Policy Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on changes in government policies, laws, and regulations that could impact the company. Provide advice and recommendations to management on compliance strategies and operational adjustments.
- Government Relations Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain positive relationships with government officials and entities at various levels.
- Internal Support: Work closely with internal departments, such as HR, legal, and operations, to support their requirements in relation to government services and regulations.
- Problem Resolution: Act as a mediator to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise between the company and government authorities.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to management regarding the status of governmental processes, potential risks, and any changes in regulations that may affect the business.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or public administration.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Saudi government regulations, labor laws, visa processes, and business licensing procedures.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with government authorities effectively.
- English proficiency is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
