Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Evaluate bids and proposals from contractors and suppliers
- Manage and negotiate contracts with contractors and vendors
- Track and analyze project costs and expenses
- Monitor and control project budgets and financial performance
- Prepare progress reports and provide cost-related updates to project teams and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management
- Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and cost estimating software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and practices is a plus
